Bottom's Up For First Online Skip Order
06 April 2011
Surprise celebrations were in store for Mrs Stephanie Wheeler of Andover when she unknowingly became BROWNSKIPS.com’s first online customer.
Mrs Wheeler ordered the eight-yard skip through the newly launched online booking system for BROWNSKIPS.com, the latest arm of Hampshire-based Raymond Brown Minerals & Recycling (RBMR).
Armed with a bottle of Champagne, RBMR Commercial Waste Manager Dwain Brice delivered the skip and bubbly to Mrs Wheeler’s property on Merchant Road.
Dwain said: “Anyone having work done to their property or garden is going to be busy organising builders and supplies so the last thing they want to be doing is ringing round to finding a good deal on a skip. With our new online system, all it takes is a few clicks and you’re done – any sized skip, whenever and wherever you need it and at a very competitive price”.
“The Champagne’s usually saved for when all the building work’s done but we wanted to celebrate the launch of our new service with a bit of fizz and reward its first customer.”
RBMR operates a network of recycling facilities across Hampshire including the A303 Recycling Facility near Andover which saves approximately 40,000 tonnes of aggregates, wood, plastic, metal and cardboard from building waste which would otherwise go to landfill.
